Chef Bryan Dame

Bryan Dame A native of New England, Bryan spent the summers of his youth in his grandfather's garden and helping in his grandmother's kitchen. He now strives to preserve Maine's traditional food ways, taking inspiration from the bounty of fresh ingredients available and the local people who provide these foods. With a simple yet elegant and inventive approach to cuisine, his menu is always changing to reflect today's seasonal ingredients.

A graduate of New England Culinary Institute in Vermont, Bryan has also worked at The Inn at Little Washington in Virginia, Opus 251 of Philadelphia, Vermont's Norwich Inn, and in Maine at The Oakland House of Brooksville and Goose Cove Lodge of Deer Isle.

A relaxing atmosphere, attentive unobtrusive service in a stunning setting.

Dine alfresco on the covered deck or sip cocktails on the stone terrace, take in the sea breeze and garden glimpses of our organic vegetable, herb and  flower beds.The fire is always going in the Tantalus Lounge making it the perfect place to start, spend or end your evening. Maybe you would prefer to watch the action of the open kitchen from the hottest seat in the house. Chat with the staff at work from a perch at the bar in front of our wood burning oven. Let the day fade away as you unwind and slide into a cozy leather banquet in our intimate dining room over looking the bay.

Hours and Reservations

The Edge operates seasonally from May - October 

Our 2010 Season will Open Friday May 7th

The Tantalus Lounge opens each afternoon for our amazing Happy Hours. Get happy from 4 -6 pm with great drink specials, local drafts, oysters and more! The full menu is available nightly at 5:30 pm.

Reservations are welcome and always appreciated from 5:30pm to 8:30pm

Reservations are requested for parties of six or more, hosting a group please see our Private dining page. During the summer season and on weekends reservations are suggested for choice dining times. Seating at the bars and on the terrace is open to all and is not held for reservations, all table options are offered on a first come bases, sorry specific tables can not be reserved.
